The Warhammer 'I am having performance issues' help thread PC Games. I've been browsing the web for about a week now looking up info on the performance of warhammer online, and frankly i'm not finding much. The game chews up my cpu.
I didn't really catch the full error message. Only noticed a message stating that the memory was being dumped and it went from 0% to 1. Checked the event viewer and saw this around the time it crashed: Performance power management features on processor 1 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.
Performance power management features on processor 7 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.
Performance power management features on processor 4 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware. Performance power management features on processor 3 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware..
HOWEVER, I did noticed the same error come up on the event viewer at a time when I didn't receive a BSOD.. So, I'm not sure if this error was even the reason why it crashed. My other theory is due to heat.
I have this massive computer case enclosed in my computer desk (barely fits), so lots of heat builds up around it. It's like a space heater next to me ontop of the PS3 that's close by. Not fun when both are on. I'm planning on moving this thing next to the entrance of my room to help with the heat issue. Just waiting for the cables I purchased to arrive in the mail. Hoping I wont feel the extreme heat of the PC afterward. My real question is, what should I be looking at or what tests should I be performing to pinpoint the cause of this mess?
Is there a firmware out there to resolve the error above? I did a quick google search on the matter, but didn't see anything right away.. I'm not sure how common this matter is.
In the end, I hope it isn't faulty hardware.- edit- I'm gonna check the firmware of my motherboard really quick to see if it's up to date with this: http: //www. Ah, never mind that.. EVGA X5. 8 E7. 60 series. Back to the drawing board.
